Melanin Kris
Melanin Kris is a multidisciplinary artist, story architect and cultural futurist. Born in Suriname, shaped by Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Utrecht, active worldwide.
His work moves through spoken word, film, visual art, education and cultural strategy — always in service of one question: who are you becoming?
He builds poetic experiences that help audiences reflect on identity, resilience and the futures we are imagining together. On stage, on screen, in the classroom and in the archive, his work carries the weight of cultural memory and the light of speculative imagination.
Melanin Kris is the creator of Future HueMen, TRANGA,
Transparent Cells and The Poetic Exhibition. He works as an artist in residence, keynote speaker, creative director and
workshop facilitator — for festivals, cultural institutions,
schools and communities across Europe and beyond.
His practice is rooted in Afrofuturism 2.0: the belief that
knowing your history is the first step toward architecting
the future.

The Mission
To create artistic experiences that help people reclaim their
story, strengthen self-leadership and imagine more conscious
futures.
Not just entertainment. Not just education. Not just
inspiration — but a deeper encounter with story, identity
and possibility.
Know your history. Architect the future.
